Applying a VDR method is not as straightforward as simply just installing 1. It requires a lot of organizing and awareness. The first step should be to select a suited VDR.

The VDR is an integral part of the vessel’s safety systems and is created to collect, digitize, compress and store info from a number of sensors aboard the dispatch. The data is then protected within a tamper-proof storage unit that may withstand the extreme shock, impact, pressure and heat that could be connected with marine happenings such as fires, collisions or sinking delivers.
